Warranty terms
These terms describe the voluntary warranty provided with an Askenback product. The warranty applies to the original owner and supplements the rights provided by consumer law.
Last updated 1 November 2026
1. Warranty period
The warranty runs for five years from the date the product is delivered. It applies to the original owner.
2. What is covered
The warranty covers manufacturing and material defects, including stitching that comes apart on its own, hardware that fails, or leather that splits where it should not. If a covered defect is reported within the warranty period, we repair or replace the affected part at no charge.
3. What is not covered
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, careless handling, accidents, or alterations made after delivery. Patina, darkening, natural variation in leather, and marks caused by ordinary use are not defects.
Colours may vary between original and replacement parts because leather is a natural material. We match replacement material as closely as reasonably possible.
4. Repairs after the warranty period
After the five-year warranty period, products made by us may still be submitted for repair for a fee. We provide the cost before starting the work.
5. Making a warranty claim
Email store@askenback.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs. Wait for our reply before sending the product. We will provide the return instructions.
For a covered warranty repair, you pay the postage to us and we pay the return postage. Postage for a paid repair is agreed before the product is sent.
6. Consumer rights
This warranty is voluntary and does not replace or limit your statutory rights. The three-year right to complain about a fault under the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (konsumentköplagen (2022:260)) applies independently of this warranty. More information is available on the Shipping & returns page.
Care instructions are available in the care guide.
